Presented in 1966 together with the Dino 206S, the Ferrari 330 P3 was the new weapon of the Cavallino for the world sport. But neither the exceptional power of the approximately 420hp 12-cylinder nor the very light chassis allowed Ferrari to tackle Ford adequately that year. The American company won for the first time in Le Mans and won the championship. The 330 P3 however won the 1000km of Monza with Parkes / Surtees and Spa with Parkes / Scarfiotti.
